Good nights sleep.

On the way into the center I notice a building with art all over it and further along a space alien sprayed onto a wall using the vents as eyes.

Art Covered Building

Space Alien (Looks Friendly)

I get a smoothie, Young Living mouthwash and essential oils from Live Organica.

Leon picks me up at 9:45 am and we go to the Bank of Ecuador. There are a least 10 heavily armed soldiers and armoured vehicles out front. Someone is loading the armoured vehicle with a forklift truck. I’m thinking gold bars?

The paperwork is already and we are in and out of the building in short order.

On to the Ministry of External Affairs.

I pay to cancel my 6 month extension visa. Next I pay for my residency visa. All this involves running between 3 different offices in the same area. After an hour of this the woman, Andrea, hands me my passport. It’s official. The visa is in my passport. Yay! All in under 60 days. All that’s left is getting a “Cedula”. I will have to come back with my birth certificate in hand. She will hold one document until I come back to prevent the Cedula countdown from starting. Leon advises me that picking up the Cedula will take about a half a day due to line ups. The Cedula comes from another government department.

Thomas can’t be reached so I get Leon to take me to a restaurant close to Elite Tours for my ride back to Loja.

I like the vegetarian pizza though I prefer Shanta’s.

The ride back to Loja takes just over 3 hours. I go over a lot of Bitcoin stuff in my head along the way.

The Ruta taxi wait is short and I am back home by 6 pm.

Bernie and Pat congratulate me on getting my visa.

I do my laundry and catch up on some work.

My intestines are gurgling and running. My sniffles are gone.

Two thousand clicks on my site today.
