Feels like home. My finger cuts are healing.
Happy Birthday Trina!
I arrive at the church at 10:50 am. The bells are ringing but no one in the church.
The pickup truck turned hurst arrives a few minutes past 11.
I attend the church ceremony for Virginia.
Her coffin is carried on the shoulders of men as we walk the main road to the cemetery. It’s uphill and and about 1 km from the church.
Her casket is placed into “vault” #64 part of a building of “vaults”. Flowers and other items of affection are placed inside before the mason begins sealing the entrance with bricks and mortar. We wait and smudge ourselves as the bricks go into place.
About 30 or so people arrive at Madre Tierra for the lunch. I sit with Todd, Shehan and Ben and get to know them a little better. Shehan shares his experience of being inside the kings chamber in the great pyramid of Egypt without light. Gabriel, Virginia’s son sits with us off and on.
I walk back to the Juice Factory and share some time with Sarah D.
I do some work.
I watch a movie “The Nin9s”.
